We have always done our best to optimize processes, invest in technology and improve our energy impact. We are an energy-intensive industry, and in this period we have learned what this means, how much consumption impacts it and how much the energy market is subject to rapid and sudden fluctuations.
We invest in highly technological machinery to make production more efficient and at the same time reduce production scraps, and waste too, but also to consume less energy, to have a less negative impact on the ecosystem, with advantages both for the environment and for human health, from an increasingly green perspective.
And the results prove us right, rewarding our efforts and encouraging us to continue on this path: in 2023 we decreased our energy consumption by 12.68%.
A big thank you goes to all our colleagues for having achieved this great goal together, with control and accuracy, testifying to the daily commitment to sustainability and the environmental impact that we put into our work. Now the goal for 2024 is to continue the path and further improve this percentage.
