In 2024, our company produced over 900 million packaging of paper and cardboard, using both recycled and virgin fiber, in all the different types from white-gray to white-white to brown back.
During the packaging production, of course, there is always waste of paper and cardboard that is generated, the so-called “scraps“, and given the volumes of our company, for years we have activated a mechanical suction system, connected to the machines, which recovers all the waste paper and cardboard and concentrates it in a collection point. Just in 2024, our company collected 5.000 tons of scraps.
Paper production is an example of circular economy, an economic model that involves the reuse of materials, reducing the consumption of raw materials, energy and water, and decreasing the amount of waste that is reintroduced into the production cycle by transforming it into new raw material.
